- line the KNEES of patient to the knee support on table
- patient rolled onto table prone
- "Foot End" switch to DOWN position
- toggle "unlock" lever with left hand
- pump pedal to lower feet = this will flex the hips and swing legs down
- move head board caudal to follow the patient moving caudally
- return switch to neutral = otherwise it will move with the next step also
- "Tibial Support" switch to UP position
- pump pedal
- this will elevate the hips (by elevating the now horizontal tibia)
- "Torso Lift"
- will move the sternal support
